Beijing +25 Survey

ISOKO Partners for Peace and Gender Equality through its Regional Program (the NGOWG on Women and Youth for Peace and Security in the Great Lakes Region of Africa) and Uwezo Afrika Initiative just launched a regional survey to understand the role of different stakeholders in implementing the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action and Beijing + 25 process.

The online survey seeks input from women's organization leaders, government agencies, academics and researchers, women's rights advocates, and other stakeholders in Burundi, Central African Republic, Democratic Republic of Congo, Kenya, Rwanda, South Sudan, Tanzania, and Uganda.  We are seeking to understand the unique regional perspective on the progress and limitations with respect to  Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action.  The survey should take 15-20 minutes to complete and will be used to help us develop a Regional Advocacy Strategy in favor of women and young women, effective participation, and the integration of their needs and priorities in the Beijing +25 process and the Generation Equality Forum and its outcome.

Following the survey, we will be conducting key informant interviews with leaders from women and young women organizations and focus group discussions with local grassroots women groups in Burundi, Rwanda, and the Democratic Republic of Congo.  We will also conduct some virtual follow up interviews from this survey in the other countries with those individuals who will share their contact information with us.  The data collected will be used to further our efforts  to advance the Women, Peace and Security Agenda in the Region.  We understand your time is valuable. Thank you in advance for participating in this survey.
