Morgan  is an MA student and graduate teaching assistant for the Department of Economics at the University of South Florida. As an undergraduate student, she studied Economics and International Studies with a specialization in African Studies at the University of Florida. Her undergraduate honors thesis examined the connection between Morocco’s female labor force participation rates and Islam through a mixed methods approach. After graduation, she served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Malawi where she taught English at a rural community day secondary school. In addition to teaching, she collaborated with community members to facilitate Grassroots Soccer, distribute mosquito nets, organize nutritional demonstrations, and implement Go Girls! Morgan hopes that through her internship at ISOKO she can provide support to organizations in their efforts against gender-based violence amidst a global pandemic. Morgan is a native English speaker, but also has knowledge of Chichewa, Chiyao, and Arabic.
