Samuel Han
Intern

Sam is a rising senior double majoring in Molecular Biology and East Asian Studies at Yale College. With academic interest at the intersection between the two fields, Sam hopes to develop a better understanding of cross-cutting issues in public health and gender-based violence. Previously he has been involved with human rights advocacy work, as well as public health research on infectious diseases. This summer, Sam is excited to be working at ISOKO and is passionate about furthering the organization's mission of fostering peace, equality, and community in particularly vulnerable and at-risk populations. As the Coivd-19 pandemic continues to impact people's lives, he is grateful to have the chance to make a positive impact and learn more about the inner workings of effective medical intervention and program implementation. In the future, he plans to attend grad school in public health or medicine, and hopes to one day work to improve public health systems in Asia.  Sam lives in Toronto, Canada.
